I live in London in a tiny flat from which I can just about see the enormous skyscraper in which I work during the day.
Since working in the skyscraper is very stressful and the flat where I live is not large enough to allow me to let off much steam, I channel nearly all my surplus energy into creative writing.
Actually, I don’t have much surplus energy.
But what I have has been channelled into a mystery novel called Winternights.
Winternights is set in 1994 because that’s about the time I started writing it. Yes, I’m a very slow writer. But I think you’ll find the pace of the action is very fast and the book is very easy to read.
It’s a crime novel but it’s not a run-of-the-mill mystery. There are murders but there is also also magic. There are twists, turns, strange beliefs, weird imaginings, intellectual questing and psychological depth.
